How it works
Getting started is easy
No contracts. No hassle. Just professional pool care that actually makes sense.
What they don't tell you
Most pool owners have no idea what they're paying for
The pool service industry has trained homeowners to accept mystery. Here’s what’s really going on.
That flat rate sounds simple, but it means your pool guy has every incentive to use as few chemicals as possible. Less product = more profit for them. Your pool pays the price.
Transparent pricing (service fee + actual chemical costs) means we use exactly what your pool needsâno more, no less. You see every penny.
Clear water can still be corrosive, scaling, or breeding bacteria you can't see. Many "pool guys" only check chlorineâignoring pH, alkalinity, calcium, CYA, and phosphates.
Proper pool care requires testing 6+ parameters. We test everything, every visitâand you see the readings in your report.
Would you let an uncertified electrician wire your house? Pool chemistry is a science. Improper treatment destroys equipment, damages surfaces, and creates health hazards. Most pool techs have zero formal trainingâthey learned by watching someone else who also had no training.
CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification requires understanding water chemistry, filtration, safety, and equipment. Every Black Flag technician is CPO certifiedâthe same credential required for commercial pool operators.

We use a membership + chemicals model. Your monthly membership covers all service and laborâpricing depends on your pool type and size. Screened pools start at $130/month for spools and $150/month for standard sizes. Open/exposed pools start at $150/month for spools and $200/month for standard sizes. Large or resort-style pools are quoted on your first free visit. Chemicals are passed through at costâyou only pay for what your pool actually needs. Screened pools typically run $30â40/month in chemicals, while open pools average $50â75/month. You see every chemical and every penny on your invoice.
We serve Southwest Florida including North Port, Port Charlotte, Venice, Englewood, Wellen Park, and surrounding areas. If you're not sure whether you're in our service area, just reach outâwe're happy to let you know.
No long-term contracts. We're month-to-month because we believe you should stay because you want to, not because you're locked in. If you ever need to cancel, just give us a heads up before your next billing cycle.
Every visit includes our full service protocol: complete water testing (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium, CYA, phosphates), chemical balancing, skimming, brushing walls and tile, emptying baskets, filter check, equipment inspection, and a detailed report with photos sent directly to you. Vacuuming is done weekly for open/exposed pools and biweekly for screened poolsâthough we'll always vacuum on request if your pool needs it. Monthly services include filter cleaning, spray treating tiles, and cleaning O-rings. Quarterly, we clean your salt cell if applicable.
CPO stands for Certified Pool Operator. It's a nationally recognized certification that requires understanding of water chemistry, filtration systems, safety standards, and equipment maintenance. It's the same certification required for commercial pool operators. Less than 5% of residential pool techs have itâall of ours do.
Easy. Schedule a consultation with us, and we'll assess your pool's current condition. Once you're ready, just let your current company know you're switching (check if they require notice). We'll take it from thereâmost transitions happen within a week.
That's common, and we're prepared for it. During your first visit, we do a comprehensive assessment and let you know exactly what needs to be addressed. If there's algae, imbalanced water, or neglected equipment, we'll create a plan to get your pool where it should beâand explain the costs upfront before doing any extra work.
We focus on weekly maintenance and water chemistryâthat's what we do best. For major repairs or equipment replacement, we'll diagnose the issue and can recommend trusted local specialists. Minor repairs and equipment adjustments are often handled during regular service.
